  • #wasn’t she also supposed to be a teacher
  • #she literally hasn’t done any work
  • @annalisequeer-ing yes but they’ve shown her teaching. they’ve shown her at the school a lot, she was in even leaving there with Jefferson in 2×01 so at least like that’s something I”m convinced of, I don’t need to see much more to accept she’s a teacher at that school. Her being a teacher is something I can buy aside from the fact that it completely interferes with MEDICAL SCHOOL lol

she does just teach Health, though. Maybe I can buy she just does it for a couple hours 2 or 3 days a week. But it still makes absolutely NO sense

It was stated she only taught health part time in S1. Which, she has to have some income since she does have a car even though she still stays at home

A better decision would’ve been to make her a research assistant that’s pretty common (i.e. realistic), somewhat less demanding… she and Lynn could’ve worked together. She’d be using her intelligence and knowledge as a scientist to help like Lynn and also kicking ass as a superhero like her dad. That’d have been better for the dynamics, too, I think. She’s her dad’s crime fighting partner already, would’ve been cool to have her working with Lynn in the day. We get so little of the Lynn/Anissa relationship.

Welp, Jefferson is out of Garfield, maybe Anissa will eventually leave and help her mom at the facility.

Her being a doctor I’m sure was chosen to hold on to some of her comic canon traits and source material (she’s listed as a trained doctor) since they made a big change in the acceptance of her powers by Jeff. Making it medical school also prob ties in there since she was originally asked by her father not to use her powers until she graduated from college. Lynn got the biggest career change. She’s been a teacher and a lawyer over different runs so they could have even considered those things in choosing for Anissa, especially since this version of her has so many traits like her father and an obvious bond right away

I don’t know anything about the comics but uhhh really I’m just saying her being a research assistant while in med school would’ve been a more realistic route than a teacher and I think it’d have benefitted other parts of the show, too.

I’m not really complaining, it’s just so funny to me that she’s supposed to be in medical school and there’s really nothing shown ever to support that lol maybe this season🤞🏾

    We shall see
