My first reaction to Kate saying that was wtf?? I know she wants to pass down Jackās legacy but Randall already has. Yes, Randall is not Jackās biological son but everything Randall learnt from Jack he still carries around in his life. Itās a part of who he is. He has also passed these lessons down to his daughters and now Deja too.
You know at first I thought I was overreacting but then Randall had that reaction at the end. š¢

I think I want more antagonists in fiction who are good at:
mentoring
people management
exploiting peopleās positive emotions
Because fictional antagonists tend to exploit the negative emotions of their underlings (usually by controlling through fear), but a charismatic leader can also get results by appealing to peopleās need for community, solidarity, justice, and self-actualization.
With the right pitch, you can get your troops to man the Death Star and feel great about it.
