146 years ago today Susan B. Anthony was arrested for attempting to vote. She died before she was able to cast her ballot legally.
Don’t disrespect her memory on November 8th.
146 years ago susan b anthony wouldn’t let ida b wells and other black sufagettes march with her unless she went at the back because she valued racist southern women’s opinions over genuinely amazing suffragettes who risked their lives when they could be arrested WITH NO CAUSE. back then a black woman could be arrested for sex work by talking to a man who was not related to her, black suffragettes who looked at a man the wrong way would be arrested.
disrespect the memory of susan b anthony, she fucking sucks.
Unlike Susan B Anthony, Ida B Wells did not die before female suffrage was passed. But she did die 35 years before she could vote as a black person. She had to watch for the last ten years of her life as white women got what she had fought so hard for while she was still denied it.
It will disrespect her legacy of anti-racist and anti-misogynistic campaigning by letting a fascist, racist, woman hater to not only beat the first female candidate for President but worse still undo all the work of America’s first black President.

Hey beautiful you!! ♥ Ahhh !! I wonder the same thing!! hahaha! It haunts my days! There are soooo many scenarios I’ve considered in my head about that moment!! I am so excited about it!
I have faith in the writers to not mess up her -so far- beautiful character’s storyline but I don’t see how they will get out of this “problem” of her not having her powers since the beginning. I mean, I see 3 possibilities:
a. Just like Anissa and Jennifer, her powers wake up and we have an episode with more Grace on it. On the one hand, I think it is possible and it would respect the fact that her powers come from within (being Amazonian) like in the comics. On the other hand, I think that it’s too “common”, there would be no surprise there for the audience. It would “just” be a third awakening.
b. She gets abducted by some villains (more or less related to Tobias, let’s say) and they give her something or something happens that triggers her and gives her superpowers. This time it is the other way around! It also seems very plausible for the writers to plot that and it would constitute -maybe- another arc; however, it would not really respect the fact that she is metahuman by her heritage/ gene pool in the comics.
c. Grace takes or is forced to take Green Light and becomes a Green Light baby !! hahaha. No seriously, this one doesn’t seem highly convincing. First, because Grace is portrayed as a rather mature woman, she surely wouldn’t take these (and these drugs target the kids, she is not a kiddo anymore hehe).
I saw another theory on the Internet, saying that she is hiding her powers right now, hence that she has them already. I want to share my thoughts about this.
In the beginning, I thought it was possible, but after she got attacked in 1×04, I started to doubt this take on her story. If she had superpowers and didn’t do anything after getting harmed, that would have made sense as she was hiding them. Nonetheless, when Anissa asked her about “if I could make people who did bad things pay for what they did, that would be a good thing, right?”, she wouldn’t have reacted as she did! She would have known directly that Anissa had powers too, she would have done something. And seeing how pissed she was on the 2×02 when Anissa was kissing another girl, she could have easily broken something with her super-strength. But none of these happened.
As for when her powers awakening would happen… I am also hoping that it is at the end of this season, but if not, the team definitely have to bring it in season 3! Maybe it will really be in season 3 and maybe it will be a way to share us that Chantal Thuy has become a regular/recurrent member of the cast?!
In any case, as much as I love Chantal / Grace (and crave for her content ♥), I am happy with the slow introduction we get to her character. They take time to make things right and I believe that they are working on a solid storyline that everybody will be proud of.
