That tweet abt Queen Sugar not being nominated for anything cause it’s a “black show” got me thinking so I checked IMDb and six feet under was nominated for shit over 160 times…just saying.

Yep. Just proves the point. Queen Sugar has not been nom’d for any *mainstream* Awards. (Sans a People Choice which we the fandom pushed by write in nom to even get for Fav Cable TV Drama) for us and by us, awards of course, and those have been won (NAACP Image, AAFCA, Black Reel)

Just to add on to that BL freakout about Grace. I believe they were going to focus on her origin a bit or how she’s integrated into the verse with her powers. They said this multiple times in interviews. Not sure the direction they go with the ship as they were going in slow. If new love interest is like Chenoa then ppl need to chill. If its like the build to Jeff/Lyn by end of S1 then, i will looking forward to the ride.

Me too anon. This ia all good info to know as well as remember. THey shifted the focus last season to Anissa’s powers along with Jeff’s and Jennifers so this season so folks could know them and the family so this season no doubt will give a bit more room for growth in Anissa’s personal life and we always knew Grace was gonna be a slow burn. Lots of folks really just jump the gun with assuming they were gonna be girlfriends right away or by S1 end.

Plus there’s nothing wrong with Anissa having an actual love life. It’s good to see her with other ladies, dating and having fun to me. That just will make the connecting with Grace even sweeter when she realizes she’s the one she wants to see most when that time comes

. Besides, casually dating others does not equal full on forever with them.

Hi Sha. So I make edits and every now and again, a major blogger will reblog it and the post will get a lot of notes. And as you know, the more notes, usually the wilder the comments and tags. Especially if the post features a subject the prejudiced or bigoted find… well. And I wondering how you may deal with ignorant or asinine comments on your posts. Do you block the blogger, ignore them or something else? And does it help you to vent freely or address them directly?

You know sometimes it depends on the day with me anon but most the time I don’t engage because I learned from experience that some folks here refuse to listen, read, or check source tags etc I will block bloggers and have if and when it got bad enough and for awhile I even blocked notifications on the particular set I had the most issues with thanks to an xkit extension.

Most the time it’s hardly worth getting your own pressure up. Especially when it’s due to something someone else rudely wrote on your stuff
