I’m taking that isn’t the first time Anissa been to Grace place.

Were they already sleeping together back in season one?

What exactly was their status in season one? Was Grace and Anissa dating and then Anissa stop calling? I guess they were or was about to start dating because I remember Anissa calling Grace about taking her out to dinner. I just need to know.

There was no status but maybe the scene from season one we all assumed was at the bookstore could be assumed to be her place?

And ship name was I prefer Granissa since it uses both their actual names and not just a persona for one.

Thoughts on Black Lightning – S2 E5

seriouslycromulent:

It’s only been a week, but man, have I missed this show. I needed this joy right about now.

Here we go …

  • Kudos to the writers of the show for giving James Remar an opportunity to speak Japanese on screen. I know his ex-wife is Japanese and his kids are half-Japanese, so hearing him get a chance to show of his linguistic skills was a nice choice. Plus it fits the character as someone in special forces will likely know how to speak multiple languages.
  • Dean Martin’s “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head” is a nice touch as a music choice for a scene where someone is trying kill Gambi. 1) because I love that song, and 2) isn’t Gambi supposed to be Italian? Although, he said his real name was Esposito, which sounds Spanish, not Italian. But Gambi still has a ton of secrets, so he could have been lying about that too. Anyway, I still love this song.
  • Whoa! Real calculus homework on TV? Black Lightning definitely likes to keep it real. Respect.
  • Gambi ain’t gone. Forget that. I’m like Jefferson. Show me a body or it didn’t happen. You may have killed Syonide, but not Gambi. Nope. Not going to believe it.
  • Uh oh! Grace’s emotions triggered her meta abilities. It’s interesting how much everyone’s emotional responses are linked to their superpowers.
  • What the hell happened to Deacon? What does Amaya know? That came out of nowhere.
  • I don’t trust this new algorithm that the shady scientist came up with. She doesn’t care about saving all the kids. She just wants to have the “successful” ones that survive her experimentation.
  • I like Two Bits. That is all.
  • I thought the pregnant lady’s name was Amaya. But now they’re saying Anaya? Hmmm.
  • Dude! Anissa. You’re not going to put gloves on before collecting that silver goop? You don’t know what that is or if proximity, not just direct contact, could lead to infection. I thought you were a medical student. Come on, now.
  • Awww, people in the community left a vigil for Gambi at his shop. ::right in the feels::
  • Who else wanted to hug Jefferson when he was in Gambi’s shop? That was heartbreaking.
  • What I say? I said I don’t trust that shady scientist. I would’ve kept hitting her crazy ass until my knuckles bled. That heifer is evil incarnate.
  • OK. I don’t even know how to interpret that foolishness. And the fact that the Sheriff just let Anissa turn around and leave is just as crazy as all the crap crawling underneath his skin. Yep. Perfect reaction, Anissa. Get the hell out of there.

OK. That’s it. This was a good continuation. I see we’re out of the Book of Consequences, and on to the next chapter. Also, did anyone else catch that there was no fighting in this episode? For Thunder or Black Lightning. It made sense given the storyline, but it was a noticeable difference.

I can’t wait for next week’s episode. We better not have to wait for 3 or 4 episodes before we find out what happened to Gambi.

‘Black Lightning’ Casts RJ Cyler

dailyblacklightning:

RJ Cyler (Sierra Burgess is a Loser, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) is set for a recurring role opposite Marvin “Krondon” Jones III in the current second season of the CW’s Black Lightning. He’ll play Todd Green, the gangly and awkward tech genius who’s passed over for a research grant. He doesn’t take it well, until he gets an offer to join Tobias Whale (Jones).

CW Midseason: Jane the Virgin to Wrap Run on Wednesdays, Roswell Lands on Tuesday, One Superhero on the Move

jbthegift:

The CW has unveiled its midseason plan, and it has Jane the Virgin wrapping her run on a brand-new night.

Additionally, Roswell, New Mexico is set to call Tuesdays home, necessitating the relocation of one superhero series to supplant another.

While no date has been set, Jane will unspool its final chapters on Wednesdays at 9/8c, once All American wraps its 16-episode season. Roswell, New Mexico will land in the Tuesdays-at-9 time slot, bumping Black Lightning to Mondays, where it will lead out of Arrow. (Legends of Tomorrow will then take a break, resuming Season 4 in April.)

Additionally, the new series In the Dark is scheduled to debut on Thursdays after Legacies completes its 16-episode season. Also slated to return later in the spring is the final season of iZombie and Season 6 of The 100.
