white lgbt people who continue to drag kehlani through the mud because a couple of misinformed, clearly not meant to harm, non-malicious tweets which she sincerely apologized for is inch resting to say the least. and for those who don’t know the context, here are the tweets:
personally i only see a problem with the first tweet, which she apologized for here:
and another apology for using queer as an umbrella term:
they’re pretty straight-forward apologies, she doesn’t try to play victim which many of your faves probably do when they fuck up. she didn’t do that half-ass, backward apology that you see from a lot of celebs. and on top of that, she literally just didn’t know that queer was offensive? and thats actually pretty believable? since so many try to erase the history of the word being a slur. which isn’t her fault. it only becomes a problem when you learn the history of the word and continue to not give a shit. which is clearly not the case with kehlani
so my question is, how come whenever i reblog ANYTHING with kehlani in it i get passive aggressive anons telling me shes a ~homophobic libqueer uwu~ when thats not the case at all. stop acting as if bi/pan women, ESPECIALLY bi/pan wlwoc who like the word queer are automatically #problematic and homophobic. thats just not the case. white lgbt people constantly hold wlwoc to way, way higher standards than any other white gay celeb and i’m tired of it
leave kehlani alone. shes an extremely kind and loving person who is a great role model for our community. you don’t have to like her, but i’d appreciate it if white lgbt people stopped trying to tear her apart over this. because tbh its really transparent! its ALWAYS gonna be transparent when you only come for wlwoc. and we’re watching how you act towards wlwoc like kehlani and definitely taking notes
