The first thing I saw when it opened was her name followed by the caption: “Mother and actor dead at 47.” Son, what in the hell?!?!?!….
At times like this the only ones I can think about are the children. They have to bury their young mom who lost her life apparently to pneumonia, and find a way to go on without her… The holiday season is thought to be a joyful time. It’ll sadly never be the same for them. This is so fucking heartbreaking. RIP Kim Porter

She easily could have said, “I think that the best actor for the job should always be the one chosen and that the core aspect of acting is bringing to life any variety of experiences, even ones you don’t have yourself.” Or something similar, gotten her point across, and not sounded entitled to both gay people’s lives and the large audience of wlw she’s gained through some of her roles.
Exactly. It’s like you said, she’s in a position that she gets roles a lot so it comes off sounding so entitled and especially with Carol and the following she knows she got because of that role specifically in context with this is not a good look
