and ralph angel i’m bout sick of you actin like a little bitch!!! darla went through hell to recover and get herself up on her feet to take care of blue and be the best person she can be! let’s stop acting like you’re not an ex con who made mistakes and was the best dad in the world! darla rarely, if ever, talks about you being in and out of the pin. she hold you accountable for your present mistakes AS A PARENT! you were wrong to have these people in and out of your damn house without orienting blue setting stronger standards! you are entitled to being hurt, but you don’t have a right to dangle all of darla’s mistakes over her head and keep her son from her when you fuck up to!!
I need to go on a little Queen Sugar rant cause I am annoyed with people constantly making Darla the villain because she’s an recovering addict who made mistakes. She has own up to them and is trying to be a better person and people calling a “crackhead bitch” shows how they view addicts as less than and irredeemable.
A lot of the fandom, especially on other SM platforms, have always been so ugly towards Darla and it is sad because she has developed so much and put in the work for recovery and given (up until the paternity storyline imo) the unconventional treatment as a character who is a recovering addict so we can see her growth and struggle and root for her all at the same time
