That was a beauty from start to finish and I’m all warm. I love the Bordelon family so much
QS S1+2 finales never really ended with cliffhangers per se, and I hope they do the same tonight. They end it in a way that makes me predict the best instead of the worst. Yeah, some things are left uncertain, but there’s always a warm feeling of resolve. They leave me with just enough and I don’t drive myself crazy guessing during the hiatus.
Same and this is my hope and really how the show likes to do and for as much as I worry about him sometimes I was glad to read Anthony back that up. It makes me a little less trepidatious about S4 even in the knowledge he’s always been here since his role is now shifting
In the midst of Charley’s issues with the men on the show, Queen Sugar has introduced Romero (Walter Perez) when the two met outside of a club. Though she said that she can’t trust anyone, do you think there’s potential for something more? Even if he’s just a companion?
Gardner: Well, the beautiful thing about Romero is that he’s completely outside of the rest of her life. He’s outside of the drama happening with the Landrys, outside of her family. No one knows him. I think that she’s at least able to exhale in a way that I don’t know if she’s able to exhale around anyone else. That’s such a relief I think for the audience to exhale with her for a moment [Laughs.] I very much feel there’s a possibility there because he shows up. He’s someone who doesn’t need anything from her. I don’t know if she’s experienced that to this degree. I think with Remy that was the case as well but he was so much so involved with the land and her family and her father. So, this is someone who’s really outside all of that and truly is simply just showing up and that’s what he does. I think that there’s a possibility there for sure and he ain’t bad to look at [Laughs.]
@shaloved30 lol thank you for noticing this too! he was on defense for a second. love it.
I just pulled the layers and laughed so hard. He was prepping to buck up for a minute until Charley said “hey, you came” lmao. I’m making gifs now.
Aye, who this?

Cackling. I gotta gif this face with movement
Everyone loves to say that Charley is doing business with the devil but what will they say as soon as she starts winning?
it’s hard for me to like Nova. why is she acting like Charley is in the wrong? go sit with your damn family.
I took Nova sitting way over there as her attempt to give Charley space after the family showdown. Either way, not good for optics. She should’ve just sat on the other end near Micah and kept the family line for each of the council scenes.
I thought the same @youngerdrgrey . It was off that fresh Auntie fade. I wish she’d at least been semi closer too but I’d like to thank Mike for Rah’s “Y’all messy” as only the little brother could deliver it lol
Aunt Vi was not with the shits and I cackled all over again. She called Nova extra and dropped the “disappointed” on her and bounced. Even Charley caught a taste of the fade. They went back to two scolded girls with quickness.
Mike Flynn is a great writer. I think he and Chloe Hung have been my favorites this season.
I hope they stay on for next season, especially Chloe
