I’ve seen a few people say that Charley + Romero were boring or that there was no chemistry between them but… I feel like that was on purpose? Let her be cautious. Like, can’t she just get her feet wet first? She’s barely back in the dating game. Davis ruined their marriage and Remy broke up with her. Let her cook. He’s a break from all the madness. It’s not necessarily going to be fireworks and marriage with this guy, at least I hope not.
All she wants and needs right now is casual and getting to know someone and feeling cared for again. Romero is nice, nice to her, and makes her smile and I for one am thanful for that because she needs it.
Huh. Yeah… that’s disappointing. No one is perfect, and gods know some of Nova’s relationships have been less that ideal, but I just don’t really see her doing that to Charley (not after all the betrayals she knows Charley has experienced) and I don’t see Remy doing that either, sweet, ethical, salt of the earth type he is.
Unfortunately sometimes writers (particularly TV show writers) write stuff that is way out of character for the characters they’ve created just to keep the drama going… and to that, I say they need to get more creative. There are so many other ways to create drama and tension.

I’m actually hoping this reveal with the Landry’s gets Nova’s mind back right too and activate her to get off the farm for awhile and back in front of her laptop at home which I assume from one upcoming synopsis it does
I never caught that Ernest’s middle name is Charles. Now I know where Charley (Charlotte) got her name from. I still want to know the origins of RA and Nova’s names.
Well during the talk where they find out about the Landry family owning them then sharing cropping, Vi references a great granddaddy Angel so I thought that may be part of the passing down for Rah. Nova can be a mix bag though considering she’s a Ava created OC
That’s right! I forgot about that. I believe a nova is some kind of star phenomenon… an explosion of some sort.

Interesting, huh? Meshell also named the show theme Nova as well so take from that what you will. Though this part of the Landry story is show specific, Ralph Angel, Charley (Charlotte), Prosper, Violet, Hollywood etc are all names kept from Natalie and the book too so we got all kinda room to wonder. I did see her answer a tweet a good while back on why she chose Prosper though. I’ll have to see if I can find it again
